strings for solo & orchestra playing
Hi,

I\'m sorry not to write this in German, but if I did there would be so many mistakes you probably won\'t understand...

Is there a string set that can be used for solo & orchestra tuning ? Strings I can tune up a whole tone ?
I\'m really tired of changing my strings all the time...

greetzz
ps: you can respond in German :)

how about "velvet compas 180"?

hmm, but once they are tuned up to solo tuning, are they still good for orchestra ? Won\'t they stretch and lose a lot of quality ?

If you only play pizzicato you could choose the Thomastik Spirocore Solo. No problems in solo tuning, they are designed for that and a lot of people play them tuned down to orchestral tuning in jazz. But these strings are not the best choice for using the bow.

mm, I want strings for classical use. I play some chamber music ( beethoven sonata op 5 n2) in solo tuning, so for every repetition I have to change strings... That\\\'s why I search strings for solo & orchestra tuning...
thanks for the reactions !
